Shopify Website Design + Development
A cup of coffee is beautiful in its simplicity, and yet the process from seed to cup is anything but. To WestBean a cup of black coffee is colorful and complex in its own way. When they see a cup of our coffee in your hands, they see the culmination of craftsmanship, skill, and a simple love for coffee.
A brand new robust Shopify website.

WestBean Coffee Roaster's old website was built on Squarespace but needed more robust e-commerce offerings.
Shopify with custom css
I was introduced to WestBean Coffee Roasters via Elevated Marketing Group who contracted me out for this project. I have been designing in the Squarespace platform for around 3 years at this point, but this was my first real Shopify build. The reason that WestBean wanted to move from Squarespace to Shopify was because they wanted to display more robust e-commerce offerings which Squarespace couldn't handle at the time such as subscriptions, etc.
Not going to lie, the project from the start was really daunting. The main reason was because this was my first Shopify build and I had to learn the basics of the platform in a short period of time. However, with the help of some employees on the Elevated side, I was able to learn the platform with relative ease. Most of the website is build using Shopify's template, but I used minor CSS for their team page to properly display team members in a grid.
The overall website project from start to finish lasted a few months due to gathering content + setting up the store to the exact way that the client wanted, but we all are happy with the result. My biggest takeaway from this design project was gaining experience and knowledge using the Shopify platform. I still prefer Squarespace due to the look and ease of use, but it is beneficial to gain experience using other CMS platforms.
