Waypoint Public is North Park's neighborhood hang out: approachable, hyper-local, no frills. They are a made-for-local, family friendly, chef-driven, beer restaurant; with a foundation rooted in re-investing in the community. Through 'Give Back' Tuesdays, supporting craft beer and spirits, participating in local events, and using local farm produce; they're focused on bringing guests quality by not compromising community.

Squarespace with minor custom css
I was introduced to Waypoint Public via Elevated Marketing Group who contracted me out for this project. Waypoint Public had a previous website via Squarespace, however, the design severely lacked on mobile responsiveness and also was not easy to navigate.
The main goals of the new Waypoint Public redesign were to focus on highlighting the menus, their North Park location, their Bear Den (party reservation space), and to make it more responsive on all devices. While choosing a proper template for this project, I knew that I needed to have something that showcased big banners because Waypoint Public had tons of high-quality imagery that wasn't being utilized. They also weren't using their brand colors in a consistent way on their old website, so that was also a main focal point on the redeisgn.
The website took a bit longer than expected (2-3 months over timeline) due to content issues, however the end result came out beautiful. I also was able to add a bit of custom css + color gradients in their footer which helped the website stand out a bit more than average Squarespace website designs.
Honestly the most challenging part of this project was staring at all of the food pictures that Waypoint had! Note to self, don't work on an empty stomach.
