Whisky Locker [wis-kee lok-er], noun - Closet in the squad bay where cleaning supplies are kept.

Whisky Locker is a place to come hang out, and have a cold brew or a shot of whisky, and fit yourself into some premium work wear. Every brand showcased is dedicated to making a high quality product with an attention to detail. From bespoke selvage denim to hand poured candles, Whisky Locker caters to all of your necessities.

The Process

I met Del (the owner of Whisky Locker) a few months ago while attending an event at her store. We instantly hit it off and when I found out her website was built on Squarespace, I offered to help with the redesign. Even though most of her business comes from foot traffic in the store, it is still super important to build a more robust e-commerce store and offer her products to customers outside of the San Diego area.

The old website didn't focus enough on e-commerce and there were plenty of "out of stock" items as well as outdated items that needed to be removed. During this process I knew that I had to make it super simple for the user to access the store which is why I included a store introduction section on the home page and also clearly labeled it in the navigation menu. I also added an "cart" functionality to the website so that the customers can access of their items with one click and checkout. To enable some of these actions, I ended up changing templates in Squarespace which provided additional functionalities which made for an easier customer shopping experience.

The end result was that we ended up with a cleaner and easier to navigate website with more direct links to her online store.
